KoNECT (Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trials) was established in 2007 as a non-profit organization funded by MOHW (the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare) to advance and to promote the country's clinical trial capabilities.
Extensive joint efforts have been made to actively develop clinical trial infrastructure through the establishment of 15 regional clinical trial centers, professional training and certification of clinical trial professionals, and support for the development of new clinical trial technologies.
